CPL awards 2023 SPSA Winner for Best Person With A DisAbility category

The City Pharmacy Limited Group has commended para athlete Dorna Longbut, the 2023 SP Sports Awards winner of the Best Person With A DisAbility category during the cheque presentation today at the CPL Waigani Showroom, Port Moresby.

Dorna Longbut was announced as the winner of this category during the 31st SP Sports Awards Night Presentation on the 27th of May, 2023, at the traditional home of the SP Sports Awards, Crown Hotel.

Other category finalists included Haoda Agari from Table Tennis, and 2022 Winner Steven Abraham from Para athletics. Dorna was one of the PNG Athlete debutants in last year’s Mini Pacific Games in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianna Islands, and she won the award, in recognition of her outstanding performances in winning Gold in the 100m T46 Ambulant event along with Bronze in Women Shotput F46 Ambulant event.


In congratulating her, City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) Group Chief Executive Officer Navin Raju said that, “The CPL Group was proud to support the SP Sports Awards and the category to support our para athletes, as this was also in line with the company’s community and inclusivity campaign”. “CPL Group champions the value “Winning together” and by sponsoring this category, we recognise the efforts to make sports an inclusive space for our national sporting heroes”, CEO Raju said. “While we congratulate all the athletes for their positive outlook and determination to excel in their respective sports, we commend Dorna Longbut for her momentous accomplishments in sport”, CEO Raju added.

PNGOC Secretary General Auvita Rapilla thanked the Board and Management of the CPLGroup, for their continued support of the SP Sports Awards, and the
